Why protect your data?


Protecting data and implementing data protection measures are necessary to guard against the following risks:

  • Loss of confidentiality
  • Identity theft or fraudulent use of data
  • Inability for data subjects to access or use products or services, or difficulty in doing so
  • Financial or economic damage, as well as any other similar disadvantage, including social disadvantage
  • Violation of life, physical integrity or freedom of movement
  • Discrimination
  • Re-identification of data subjects from pseudonymised or anonymised data
  • Defamation or damage to reputation, image rights, or emotional, intimate or private life
